Ivy League Magic
Building World-Class Leaders
At NC Global, we specialize in making strong cases for Ivy League acceptances by presenting students as individuals likely to make a positive difference in the world. We expertly weave together seemingly disparate elements of a student’s academic accomplishments and life experiences into a cohesive narrative that encourages a sense of confidence on the part of Ivy League admissions committees.
In terms of enrollment size, Harvard and Dartmouth are the smallest at around 6500 undergraduates, while UPenn, Columbia, and Columbia have undergraduate classes of between 20,000 and 25,000 students. In the middle are Princeton, Brown, and Yale with undergraduate classes of between 8000 and 12,000 students. There are both advantages and disadvantages to the large university experience. Advantages include unsurpassed opportunities based on the extensive, sometimes massive resources found at the large Ivy universities. Disadvantages include larger class sizes, more lecture-style classes, less access to professors, and more introductory classes taught by graduate students.
Acceptance rates at Ivy league schools are between 5% and 10%, which in practical terms means that they reject 10-20 times more applications than they accept. While getting into the Ivies is obviously quite challenging, knowing how to present students in the best possible light can significantly improve the odds of success. For students with all-star statistics (test scores, GPA’s etc.), having anything less than stellar applications can negatively impact the likelihood of acceptance. Applications prepared by NC Global’s team of admission experts have yielded significantly better outcomes, including far more likely acceptance into Ivy League colleges and universities.
